Security

Cosyze has a flexible security architecture that can satisfy your district's needs.  You can create custom defined roles with different sets of permissions by module at the district, school level, and school levels.  Likewise, users can also secure specific records to prevent or allow certain users or roles from viewing very specific information about a person, incident, group, or organization.

Access to the system can optionally be configured for use on only encrypted SSL connections.  Although not available today, we have plans to allow Cosyze to integrate with a LDAP backend, so you can import your preexisting users as well as authenticate using an LDAP compatible server, such as Microsoft Active Directory or Novell eDirectory.

 

Deployment and Compatibility

We have implemented Cosyze using enterprise Java technologies, which is trusted for the most demanding systems in the enterprise world today for reliability, scalability, security.  With a Java-based system, you also get the ability to deploy Cosyze on any operating system that supports Java, which includes Windows, Linux, and many more. 

Alternatively, you can use our preconfigured VMware appliance that will integrate into your virtualization infrastructure with absolute ease.  Don't have VMware?  We at Informant Technologies love virtualization and are willing to support any other virtualization technologies that your district uses.

Cosyze is cross-browser compliant.  While we support basically any browser, including MS Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and more, it's best to use the latest versions available to take advantage of our beautiful AJAX user interface for the best experience.

Also, certain functions of our application use Adobe Flash or Adobe AIR for the most interactive and responsive interface.  While the use of these features requires the proper runtime be installed, you can rest assured that these technologies are cross-platform compliant and free, so your users have the ability to access the system from any desktop, including Windows, Mac, or Linux.
